Will this work for a Cargo trailer that has a 3 inch wide tongue?

The Bumper Mounted Tire Carrier # TR-1 is actually meant to fit around 4" square bumpers but we do have some other solutions for you that fit on a trailer with a 3" frame.
Among the spare tire carriers on the linked page we have the CE Smith Offset Spare Tire Carrier # CE27310G. This is compatible with trailer frames up to 3-1/2" wide x 4" tall, holds trailer wheels with a 4 on 4", 5 on 4-1/2", or 5 on 4-3/4" bolt patterns. If your spare falls into this category then this is the product for you.
