Is the Curt X5 adapter plate compatible with the Curt sliding 16,000# and 20,000# fifth wheel hitches.

Yes, the Curt X5 adapters like the part # C16210, # C16220, and # 16310 are compatible with Curt sliding hitches like the Curt A16 part # C16521 that you referenced. The X5 adapter have a 20k capacity too so they'd work on an A20 slider too like part # C16541.
