Question:

So I’ve seen a lot of videos on axle flipping why do the instructions or your kits say double eye only My Coleman pop up camper Has a single eye and the other and fits into a pocket I guess you could call it and I’m curious why this would not work

You have what is called slipper springs in which one end has a eye hole and the other a knurl. The slipper springs you have CAN be used with the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit part # K71-384-00 but you would need to tack weld the new spring seats to the axle as opposed to bolting them like what is recommended for double eye leaf spring trailers. The reason for this is because of the increased movement in a slipper spring suspension setup which could jar the spring seat loose if not welded and cause all sorts of problems. You would also most likely need to make your own u-bolt plate which is very simple.

I have attached a review video for you.
