Helpful Expert Reply:
Although the head unit of an Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System, like part # EQ37100ET, does contribute to the sway control, where the arms connect to the L brackets contributes even more. The arms move back and forth and really only apply friction when needed whereas the head unit, where the arms connect, will have much more movement when you are making turns. Because of this it is best to grease the Equal-i-zer head assembly to help increase the lifespan of the weight distribution system.
We do carry the recommended lubricant as part # EQ91-00-4250 if you don't already have some.
