Availability of 2-1/2" Weight Distribution Shank That is 12" Long for Fastway System
Question:
My existing hitch is a Fastway E4 WD/Sway, 1000 lb trunnion bars. Shank fits a 2 inch receiver, and has 6 inch . New truck is a 2018 F250 Super Duty with 2.5 inch receiver. I need a bigger shank, so I can eliminate the 2.5 inch receiver adapter, but the new shank also needs to extend out more than 12 inches 9 inches to pin hole, as the tailgate bumps the winchstand when I try to open the tailgate. Is there 2.5 inch shank with 6 inch that extends out more than 12 inches for my hitch? Thanks,

If you are just looking for a typical shank for your Fastway # FA92-00-1000 or # FA94-00-1000 weight distribution (WD) system then the closest thing we have which will fit your 2-1/2" receiver is the shank # EQ90-02-4900, but it will only extend the WD head out 9".
We do have the Curt shank # C17122 which sticks out 14" but it is for a 2" receiver so you would need to use your adapter like part # C45405.
Another option is to use the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank # 325-GH-1102. This comes with arms that help absorb road shock and is rated for 16K. This will have a similar build to the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank # 325-GH-1302 which I have attached a video showing it will add 12-1/2" to your system.
