Best Bike Rack Recommendation for Electric Bike and Class I Hitch
Question:
Hi, Im looking for a trailer for a class 1 hitch for an electric bike. On this page, one of your staff tells a customer that the Saris Freedom 2 full name below will work for Class 1, but the page itself says Class 2 and 3. Can you clarify? Thanks. At one point the Saris Freedom bike rack you mentioned was listed as a fit for Class I hitches but recently it was changed to Class II only. So for an E-bike rack that does fit a Class I hitch the best option is the Thule EasyFold part # TH903202. This rack will fit your hitch, has a higher capacity needed for E-bikes and comes with a ramp to make loading and unloading easier.
