Recommended Remote Engine Oil Cooler for a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
Question:
What oil cooler would you recommend to reduce engine temps while towing in the mountains in the summer heat? I already have a tranny cooler that reduced transmission temps. It is mounted on the front of the stack so I would need a remote location for the engine oil cooler.

The remote mounted engine oil cooler I recommend for your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Engine Cooler Kit part # D15660. This is an excellent option that will keep the engine oil cool when towing through the mountains. The kit comes with everything you need and has a 12 volt electric fan which will work even when stationary or when airflow is limited. The kit comes with a few different adapters but you will need to use the one with the blue/red paint marking. The overall cooler measures 13" wide x 10" tall x 5-5/8" deep and comes with a one year warranty. It is also made in the U.S.A.
