7 and 4-Way Recommendation for 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee without Trailer Wiring
Question:
I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee without the factory installed towing package that I plan on installing a hitch on. I like the dual outlet fixture of this kit, but not having the wiring of the factory towing package installed, I dont think the wiring harness pig tail included with the kit is long enough to reach the factory wiring connector located behind the interior panel on the driver side of the cargo area in my jeep. Is there a wiring harness pig tail that would plug into this connector and the dual outlet fixture? Or do I have to fabricate something custom to fit? Thanks for the help.

You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # C55369.
Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way. This will give you both a 4 and 7-way too like you are wanting.
If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.
