Replacement Leaf Spring for a 2006 Starcraft Series 2106 Trailer
Question:
I have a 2006 Starcraft 2106 tent trailer that needs new leaf springs. The documentation does not help in determining what size to get. Would I be able to inquire which ones to order from your site? I read it can be determined by the Axle capacity however are no details printed on the Axle itself, there is a sticker but it has no useful information just the order number from Dexter which is the manufacturer I believe. I can certainly provide you with everything you need to gather in order to find the correct leaf spring for your 2006 Starcraft Series 2106 but unfortunately, I would not be able to give you an exact part number just yet. The first thing you are going to want to do is measure the length of the leaf spring from the center of each eye hole. Please note that as springs wear down over time they lengthen so the new spring will mostly likely be shorter than the spring it is replacing. The next thing you will need to do is measure the width. Then you will want to find the axle capacity. There should be a weight listed on the axle tag or a serial number I can use to look it up for you.
Once you gather this info you can then take a look at the list of options which I have attached or you can give me all of the above info and I would be sure you get the correct replacement. I would be very skeptical if someone was able to give you an exact part number for the leaf springs without knowing the above assuming they are not the manufacturer of the trailer, Starcraft
