Troubleshooting Atwood MPD 7119 Landing Gear Motor that Keeps Blowing Fuses

Atwood MPD 7119 Landing Gear Motor Blowing Fuses It seems to blow them on the extension cycle. Wiring seems to be good. Nothing appears to be shorting. Any suggestions?

Check to make sure that your grounds are good. They need to be secure and connected to a clean, bare-metal surface otherwise they will cause a short.

When extending powered landing gear, like your Atwood MPD7119, the motor will have to work harder since it is using the jacks to push the trail up. When retracting the legs gravity lends a helping hand so your motor doesn't have to work as hard.

If you have checked the wiring itself, look at your ground connections (even to your battery) and you should find the solution. If you can't find it then you may want to take your trailer into a shop and have them physically inspect it. It doesn't sound like your landing gear needs to be replaced at the moment, but a fresh set of eyes could very well identify the problem easier.
