Can I use this lock on my battery box on the outside of my trailer so no one can lift the Box up and steal my battery?

Since this lock has fully extended dimentions of 13-7/8" long x 9-1/8" wide and fully collapsed dimentions of 11" long x 9-1/8" wide, provided that your battery box and the frame can fit inside those dimensions like # 329-HM082BKS, this is an excellent option to secure your box.

If your battery box is taller than the # WIUTL810 dimentions will allow, the Club XL Utility Lock # WIUTL800 will allow an fully extended area of 22" long x 9-1/8" wide and a fully collapsed area of 15-1/2" long x 9-1/8" wide.

A more affordable yet effective option is to use a product like the MasterLock Hasp with Tamperproof Hinge # ML702D. This product will allow you to mount the hasp on the lid of the box and install the hinge on the base (or vise vera).
