Which adapter you will need will depend on whether your 2009 Honda Pilot has a factory 7-way or not.
If your Pilot has a factory 7-way, you will need to use the Tekonsha Wire Replacement, part # 3070-P. This adapter will plug into the back of the Tekonsha PRIMUS IQ Brake Controller and into the brake controller port located underneath the dash of your Pilot, to the left of the steering column.
If your Pilot did not come with a factory trailer connector you will need to install the T-One Connector, part # 118491, which will give you a 4-way. Then, you will need to use the Brake Controller 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit, part # ETBC7. The # ETBC7 kit is needed to hard-wire the brake controller into the vehicle.
I have linked instructions and a video installation for the T-One Connector, part # 118491. Also linked are instructions for the Brake Controller 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit, part # ETBC7.
