Recommended Dexter Axle and Hubs with Self-Adjusting Brake Assemblies
Question:
Are these brakes automatically adjustable
asked by: Matt R
Helpful Expert Reply:
The brake assemblies on the Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes - E-Z Lube - 8 on 6-1/2 Bolt Pattern # 8327864-EB are not the automatic self-adjusting assemblies. You can instead use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 5.2K to 7K # AKEBRK-7-SA to swap them out.
Another option is to use the following parts to give you the self-adjusting brake assemblies and save you some money:
Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles - 94" Long - 7,000 lbs # 8327864
Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - Left and Right Hand Assemblies # AKEBRK-7-SA
Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 42866UC3-EZ ( x2)
If you want the Dexter brand self adjusting assemblies, you will want # 23-464-465.
