What is a Draw Bar and Which One Should be Used with Curt Trailer Hitch C11207
Question:
what is a draw bar?
asked by: Bianca E
Expert Reply:
A draw bar, also known as a ball mount or stinger, is the device that fits into a trailer hitch receiver on one end and holds the hitch ball on the other end. It is held in the hitch with a pin and clip or locking hitch pin. It is what you would use to tow a trailer.
If you are looking at hitch # C11207 and intend to tow a trailer the recommended draw bar is # C45017. For a compatible pin and clip use # PC2. For a compatible ball you can use # A-80 for a trailer coupler that takes a 1-7/8 inch diameter ball or # A-82 if the trailer coupler requires a 2 inch diameter ball.
