Recommended Trailer Hitch and 7-Way Connector for 2017 Nissan Titan w/o Factory Tow Package
Question:
What all do I need to install a hitch to a 2017 Nissan Titan without factory tow package? I will be pulling a trailer with brakes. I already have a Prodigy brake box uninstalled I guess I need the hitch and what ever is requires for the 7 pole connector hookup and brake box hookup. Thanks

Starting with the trailer hitch, I recommend the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver # C13304. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your 2017 Nissan Titan and will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. It will provide you with a 2 inch receiver opening and it features an 8,000 pound towing weight capacity. You will also want to check the owner's manual for your Titan to verify its capacity, as you will need to follow whichever limit is lower (the truck's or the hitch's).
I have attached an installation video on your Nissan Titan that you can use for reference.
Moving onto the electrical side of things, you will just need a couple of items to install your Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller like the P2 # 90885. First, to install the controller itself, you will just need the Plug-In Adapter # 3050-P. One end of this adapter will plug into the brake controller, while the other end will connect to the factory port beneath the dash of your Titan.
Then, to add a fully-functional 7-Way to the truck, I recommend the Hopkins Factory Style 7-Way and 4-Way # N40975. This will plug into the factory US car connector under the truck to provide you with a 7-Way and 4-Way connector. The fuses needed to activate the towing circuits are also included.
I have again attached an installation video on your truck for you to check out.
