Hi, I would like to know if just one of these roadmaster diodes could be used if it was installed before the wiring branches off to the reverse lights? The circled spot on the attached picture. I am running leds drawing 2.7 Amps at 12v per

Yes, the Roadmaster Diode part # RM-792 or part # RM-690 can be installed after the two reverse light circuits are already spliced together. The diodes are basically just a one way check valve for electricity so as long as you are not exceeding the circuit then you will not have any issues.
