I looked in the owner's manual for your 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and the towing capacity can range anywhere from 1,000 to 3,800 lbs depending on how the vehicle is loaded/equipped. If you would like further information on your vehicle's towing capacity then I recommend taking a look at page 399 in your owner's manual. The trailer you choose cannot exceed the towing capacity of your vehicle.
If your vehicle does not have the tow package or if the tow package did not come with any supplemental engine/transmission coolers then I strongly recommend adding one such as the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler part # D15902. This supplemental cooler will not only improve towing performance but will also work to extend engine/transmission life.
I have attached a sample install video of the cooler for you as well.
