Question:
Am wondering if there is Curt hitch if you don’t have rear step bumper? Need item # if so As far as I can tell most are for if you have step bumper OEM.

There are 5 versions of the 2006 Dodge/Freightliner Sprinter so to determine if there is a hitch that will fit we have to look at which specific model you have.
If you have the 118 inch wheelbase, single rear wheel model you can use # 13250 or # 14250
If you have the 140 inch wheelbase, single rear wheel model you can use the same Curt hitches above as well as # 75210
If you have the 140 inch wheelbase, dual rear wheel model you can use # 13265
If you have the 158 inch wheelbase, single OR dual rear wheel model you can use # 13250, # 14250, or # 75210
The majority of the hitches fit both models. There are only certain hitches (75210) that state explicitly that they will NOT fit models with the step bumper. But they fit models without it just fine. All of the other hitches mentioned have separate steps for models with the step bumper that you would not have to follow since they don't apply to your Sprinter model.
