If you are just needing to power the signal lights on your boat trailer, then you can use the Hopkins Adapter # 37185. This will plug right into the 4-Way flat on your Jeep Wrangler and provide a 7-Way connector to use with the 7-Way on the trailer. If you need to activate the lockout solenoid on the trailer's actuator so the brakes don't lock up in reverse, you can simply connect the purple auxiliary wire from the adapter to the reverse light circuit wire on your Jeep. Otherwise it and the additional blue and black wires can be simply tied off, as they won't be needed. The white wire is for ground and it will just be connected to a clean, bare metal surface.
If you need the 7-Way to be fully functional (if the boat trailer features electric or electric-over-hydraulic brakes), then I instead recommend using the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This includes everything necessary to install a fully functional 7-Way from the existing 4-Way on the Jeep, along with the additional wiring and circuit breakers needed to install a trailer brake controller.
I have attached a great article that details the installation steps for this kit that you can look through.
For a brake controller, I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885. This proportional controller will activate the trailer brakes at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in the Jeep.
