There is an airbag panel right below the steering wheel where you mount on the 2013 Durango Where would suggest the controller be mounted on the 2018?

When finding a location to mount a brake controller like the excellent Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195, you will just want to find a space, typically towards the bottom of the dash to the right of the steering wheel, free of any obstruction or wires behind the panel. We haven't gotten a chance to install a brake controller yet on your 2018 Dodge Durango, but when installing the P3 on the 2014 model, we found that the area below and to the right of the steering wheel worked well. I have attached an image to assist. There should be similar space available on your Durango.
When installing the mounting bracket on your 2018 model, you will just want to check to be sure there isn't any wiring or other components behind the dash before drilling.
If your Dodge Durango has the factory 7-Way connector, you will just need the Plug-In Adapter Harness # TK93VR to install the brake controller. One end of the harness will plug into the controller itself, while the other end will connect directly to the factory port under the dash.
I have attached an installation video that you can use for reference.
