Rooftop Cargo Bag for 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Without Roof Rack or Raised Roof Rails

Hi! I just received the Thule Ourbound cargo bag TH868 and realized my factory side rails have no roof clearance. I won’t be able to attach to side rails, only cross bars. Suggestions? Is there another cargo bag I should get instead? Thanks!

Your Thule Outbound Roof Top Bag # TH868 (thank you for your purchase) can attach to side-rails, crossbars, or a roof-mounted cargo basket in order to install properly. It looks like your questions says that you can attache to cross-bars. Do you have cross bars that go sid-to-side on you vehicle? If so, you are good to go.
I linked our page for rooftop cargo bags that can mount to a naked roof, without need for a roof rack or roof rails if that is the case. I suggest the Rightline 18-cubic-foot bag # RL100S30 along with the protective pad # RL100650. The pad will protect the roof paint finish and prevent the bag from shifting around. You can also add a cable lock # RL100640 for security.
