Why Does Fridge Still Work When Camper Isnt Plugged in

Why does the fridge not run down the battery when the camper is not plugged in?

Expert Reply:
Anything that draws power from the trailer battery will run down the trailer battery when the camper is not connected to the tow vehicle battery. Some applications, like the Everchill Refrigerator # 324-000119, may require less power to run but they will drain your trailer battery given enough time.
Since tow vehicle and trailer wiring configurations vary there could be other explanations as well but that would require some digging into what you have.
