Is There an Adaper to Install an Electric Brake Controller on a 2007 Mercedes-Benz GL450
Question:
I have Tekonsha P2 brake controller and 07 Mbenz GL450 with towing package, do you carry any plug in wire adapters that go from my P2 to the green connector under my steering wheel? Thanks!

If your 2007 Mercedes-Benz GL450 has a brake controller connector under the dash you likely need to get the adapter from Mercedes; unfortunately, that's not a part we carry. Then you need to install the Prodigy P2, part # 90885, by wiring it to the adapter you plugged in. On brake controllers the wiring is color specific:
Blue - Brake output
Black - 12-volt power
White - Ground
Red - Stop light switch
You can test that green connector using a circuit tester, like part # PTW2993, if you aren't sure if it's for a brake controller or not. One pin should have power all the time (the 12-volt power circuit) and one should have power when you step on the brake pedal (the stop light switch circuit). The other two won't show power when testing because one is output and the other is a ground.
If it's not a brake controller connector, then you need to hardwire the P2. However, on vehicles like your Mercedes it can often be quite difficult to find the stop light switch circuit, so we usually recommend a wireless controller, like the Curt Echo # C51180, which installs in the Mercedes's 7-way trailer connector with an active 12-volt power circuit.
If your Mercedes doesn't already have a 7-way connector use part # HM42190 which plugs right in since you have the tow package.
