Landing Gear Repair Components for 2008 Big Horn 3055RL Fifth Wheel With Venture VMC940RB

Question:

Hi, I want to order a new gearbox and parts to rebuild both of my landing gear legs the gears are only partially meshing. My manual says I have Lippert landing gear but the plastic body of the gearbox has Venture moulded in it a lug on the gearbox body has broken off. Please confirm the correct part numbers to order and provide links for any video or written instructions. Also do you have replacement legs that include a fitting to enable greasing of the threads and gears in these units, if so please advise your part numbers. The label on what I assume is the clutch that is attached to the motor is:- M-9000-PK, 12VDC 30 Amp, Ignition protected, S/No 9000-107992. Gearbox label:- Venture Mfg, VMC940RB-234761 Thank you.

For your Venture landing gear you can use # LC276602 as a replacement gear box and you'll be set. This gear box is aluminum so it would be much harder to damage than the plastic gear box you currently have.

I attached an install video that features this gear box as well.

For your Venture landing gear VMC940RB-80730 you can use lead leg gear repair kit # LC146059 and for the follow leg kit # LC146060. I confirmed with the manufacturer that these are the correct kits.

For a complete replacement lead jack use Replacement Lead Jack with Drop Leg # LG-179013 and then for the follow leg you'd want # LG-179014.
