What is the measurement from the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the rack

Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches # C18064 has a measurement of 40 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the extended arms of the rack. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the shank is 15 inches according to my contact at Curt.
