Should Prodigy P2 Brake Controller Have Display Lit Up If Power and Ground is Connected

Question:

Hello I just installed a prodigy P2 on my 1993 Chevy k1500 and I have good ground and hot is going to it . I am getting no activity From the unit . I do not have my trailer hooked up to it yet because I have not wires that yet . But I want to kno if my unit is working first but no light are coming on . If you can please help thank you

If you are absolutely sure you have a good 12 volt source ran to the black wire of the P2 part # 90885 and a good ground ran to the white wire of the controller and you are not getting any activity on the display of the controller it would be bad.

The display should at least light up. If not then the controller has an internal problem that needs to be addressed.
