Will Pollak 7-Way to 12 Volt Power Outlet Adapter # PK11896 Work with Blue Sea 1010 Plug
Question:
Does the 12V socket work well with a marine grade 12V plug with a twist-to-lock feature such as the Blue Sea Systems PN 1010. I would be using this the power a 12V DC refrigerator mounted on a rear hitch mounted cargo carrier Rola Dart while traveling over rough dirt roads and also while traveling over major mountain passes with snowy conditions and with salt applied to the roads? It is important to ensure that the adapter or plug does not vibrate loose. My vehicle is a 2018 Toyota 4Runner Limited.

Your Blue Seas plug 1010 will work with the Pollak 7-Way to 12 Volt Power Outlet Adapter # PK11896. I did not see anything on that Blue Seas plug stating that a special outlet would be needed and the twist to lock feature seems to be exclusive to the plug end.
The Pollak outlet locks into a 7-Way the same way that any 7-Way connector does; using the lid of the 7-Way to prevent the outlet from coming out. Rough terrain would also not be a problem assuming of course you are cautious while traversing such terrain. Snow and salt would only be an issue over time so just make sure the outlet and plug are cleaned off inside and out periodically.
