Will EcoHitch for 2017 Subaru Crosstrek Fit 5 Bike Rack
Question:
Followup - if I get that hitch (the EcoHitch part # 306-X7203) with my Thule Vertex bike rack part # TH9030XT, do I need to use any kind of stabilizing straps? And would the draw-tite be any better for this use case?

Yes, the EcoHitch part # 306-X7203 that you referenced will work great with your bike rack part # Y02459. This is a Class III, 2 inch hitch like what this hitch is designed to work with. I really like this hitch because it's opening comes out of the opening in the rear fascia.
