Inside Bike Installation on the Swagman XTC-2 Bike Rack # S64670

Question:

Ive looked at the various models and videos on each and none show instillation of the inside bike. I owned a SportRack 2 30601 in the past and know the arm folds away from the car to facilitate placement of the inner bike. However, on this rack and some others the center support arm folds to the side. How would one then get the support arm in place after the inner bike is placed in position? The support hook would either contact the handle bar or seat as it swung from the side down position to the center support position. Do you have to full remove the support hook from the center arm before you swing it into position?

When installing the inner bike on the Swagman XTC-2 Bike Rack, # S64670, the center post that holds the frame hooks stays in the upright position. You will raise the inner hook to its highest position, space out the wheel hoops for the bike and then lift the bike between the vehicle and bike carrier at a slight angle, avoiding the seat or handle bars.

I produced a short video for you showing how I install the inner bike on this type of rack, see link.
