Locating Replacement Hubs for NT-MT10 Motorcycle Trailer

Question:

Hi, I was wondering how I can find parts for trailers imported from China? I have a motorcycle trailer that looks identical to the 2003 Kendon Dual foldable trailer but Im not sure what parts are compatible with it? I found out the company that makes these is Changzhou Nanxiashu. It looks like they are a major exporter to the US and Harbor Freight trailers are imported from them for example. This is the exact model Im referring to: NT-MT10 If you have any idea what they are branded as in the US or what parts are compatible, that would be great! Mainly thinking hubs for now. Thanks so much!

It's very possible that we have compatible replacement parts for your NT-MT10 motorcycle trailer. I was not able to find much detailed information on the trailer in my research, but there are a few things you can do to determine what type of hubs the trailer uses.

I first recommend verifying the axle capacity on the trailer. This information should be stamped on the axle itself or located on a main sticker/tag. From here, I recommend pulling one of the hubs and checking for the bearing numbers that are used. The numbers will typically be stamped inside the bearings, but if you cannot read them you can also take a few measurements along the spindle where they sit. I have attached an image that shows exactly where the measurements should be taken to determine the corresponding bearing size. Using a digital caliper like # PTW80157 will be needed since the measurements need to be exact.

Finally, you will want to note the existing bolt pattern on your hubs and wheels. If you do not know the bolt pattern, I have attached a great article that explains how to measure this.

For example, the etrailer.com Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K is designed for 3,500 pound axles, uses the # L68149 inner bearing, the # L44649 outer bearing, and features a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. I have attached a link that will take you directly to our available selection of trailer hubs that you can look through. You can use the facets on the left side of the page to filter between the different options based on their capacity and the bearings that they use.

If you are able to tell me any of the above information regarding the existing hubs on your trailer, I will be happy to recommend a compatible replacement.
