1997 Ford F150 Style Side 6foot bed with Leer canopy. Need a over cab ladder rack while maintaining the canopy.

For your 1997 Ford F-150 with a 6-1/2 foot bed and Leer canopy, I recommend the Thule TracRac CapRac Ladder Rack # TH29200XT. This is a durable but lightweight ladder rack that will mount to the Leer canopy shell on your truck. Its aluminum construction will resist rust and corrosion and the slotted crossbars will accept a wide variety of Thule TracRac accessories. The crossbars themselves measure 65 inches long.
There is not an over-the-cab ladder rack available that will work with the Leer canopy on your F-150.
