Can a Class II Carrier Fit a Class I Trailer Hitch on a 2016 Honda Fit
Question:
Is there an assembly for adding a hitch to a 2016 Honda Fit than will accept a Class II motorcycle carrier? I see a Class I assembly available from etrailer.

Class I and Class II products typically have a 1-1/4" shank on them. If this is the case for your carrier then you can use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11406 as long as your carrier and cargo does not exceed the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch (200 lbs) or your 2016 Honda Fit, whichever is lower.
Please note that when carrying a non-trailer load, like the Curt Carrier # C18145, the Curt warranty on this trailer hitch requires that a stabilizer strap # 18050 be used to help support the extra weight.
Since you are wanting to carry a motorcycle and your Honda Fit is a smaller vehicle I highly recommend against doing so. Typically for this situation I would recommend towing your motorcycle with a trailer, but your owner's manual states that this should not be done either. For your application it would be much more safe to use a different vehicle to transport your bike.
