Comparing 5th Wheel Hitches for 2017 Ford F-350 with Factory Rail Kit Puck System Compatibility

Question:

In your experience what is it the better option for hauling a 44ft 23500 lb RV the REESE RP30922 or the Comapanion BW BWRVK3305. I bought a Curt C16036 in December 2017 from you, and after 450 miles the hitch start it to hit when I stop and go and would like to avoid that it feels like the trailer will be left behind in some point.

The Curt A25 # C16036 is less sturdy than the other hitches you mentioned, but many people really like them. My recommendation between the Reese M5 Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30922 and the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Prep Package # BWRVK3305 is the latter.

The B&W Companion Hitch has the more stable base and the dual jaw design is better at resisting the jarring and chucking you mentioned. The jaws are 1 inch thick and provide better security and less movement than the single jaw of the Reese. This hitch also has polyurethane bushings to give you a quiet and rattle free ride. The fact this hitch is made in the USA is an additional perk and credit to the quality of the craftsmanship.
