Recommended Hitch Rack for Pedego City Commuter Step-Thru E-Bikes
Question:
We have Pedego electric bikes, step through City Commuter. What are my options for a hitch rack. Thanks

The step-thru version of the Pedego City Commuter electric bike, like most e-bikes, has a substantial weight. This bike plus its battery typically weighs just under 60-lbs, roughly double the weight rating for standard hitch bike racks.
Bikes this heavy need a specialty rack and we have a superb option from Thule, a market leader in bike transport solutions. I recommend their EasyFold hitch 2-bike carrier, part # TH903202.
The EasyFold offers a compelling mix of features and virtues. First, it fits both 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches so your next vehicle will not require you to buy a new bike rack. The carrier includes locks for the rack itself and for your loaded bikes. It has a 65-lbs per bike weight rating, yet itself weighs only 40-lbs, making it among the lightest e-bike-capable racks we have. Tough construction of aluminum and ABS materials means a virtually corrosion-proof rack and the EasyFold lives up to its name by providing both tilting and folding capability. And best of all the rack includes an integrated loading ramp so you can roll your Pedegos right onto the carrier with no lifting. All in all, pretty hard to beat.
If you wish to see other options all e-bike racks are shown on the linked page.
