Comparing Lippert Components Curt Pin Box To Flexair Pin Box

Hi can you please explain the difference between King Pin Box - L05 and the Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1621 and 1621HD LC158778. Are they both long jaw and is it that the L05 is 18000 lbs and the LC158778 is 21000 lbs rated and that both have the air bag. Regards.

The Curt Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1621 & 1621HD - 21,000 lbs # LC158778 and the Curt Flexair 18,000 lb # LC328492 are more similar than different. The major difference that you stated is the capacity and the second notable difference is the Flexair 18K has a rubber compound built into the head assembly as the first defense against road shock.
If your trailer's GVWR is under 18,000 lbs, I recommend the Curt Flexair 18K # LC328492 due to the extra layer of shock absorption. I've attached a photo of just that portion to assist.
