Comparison Between Trailair Flex Air and Gen-Y Executive Replacement Pin Boxes

Question:

I see the GenY 5thwheel pin box is currently on sale,I have been trying to research these and you all do not have to many reviews on this type or really on the web. Assuming newer system. I am trying to figure which one is best to get rid of the shock on the road and some bouncing I get. Dont believe i get the chucking many talk about. I have a wildcat 333mk, 14000lbs with a pin weight of 2900lbs lippert 1621HD has the CRE3000 morryde on springs, Truck is a 2019 GMC 3500HD dually 8 foot bed and use the BandW companion slider hitch version. Can you or would you recommend one over the other. I hear the fith wheel version is a little more stable and better ride than goosebox versions. Any help/ guidance/pros/cons would be appreciated

Because it's lighter, less expensive, has fewer moving parts and is mechanically less complicated I'd recommend going with the Gen-Y # 325-GH-8040 shock absorbing pin box versus a Trailair Flex Air like part # LC328492.

The Trailair features a pin box that cushions most of the bouncing and jarring forces. Over time, air bags can become brittle and puncture while the Gen-Y uses technology that's similar to torsion axles, using internal bumpers that limit bounce and help to isolate the tow vehicle from road shock transferring from the 5th wheel to the tow vehicle. The Gen-Y pin box also features a built-in tongue weight scale.

I've linked to product description videos for both the Trailair Flex Air and the Gen-Y Executive.
