Adding a 4-Flat to 2017 Honda Ridgeline With Existing 7-Way

Question:

Adding strip lights to under the tailgate of my ridgeline 2017. Existing is a 7 pin plug. Would like to use a connector inline that would add a flat 4 or flat 5. What would work? Really do not want to run an adapter but want a permanent inline solution. Thanks

If you do not want to use a simple adapter such as the Hopkins # 37385, which plugs into the 7-way on your 2017 Honda Ridgeline and gives you a 4-way or 5-way connector, there is a more permanent solution.

What you can do is cut off your current 7-way and wire in the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow # HM48470; this will give you a permanent connector and the ability to use a 7-way, 4-flat, or 5-flat like with the strip lights you are adding.
