Parts Needed to Install Trailer Brake Controller in 1998 Chevrolet 1500 C/K Series Pickup

Hi I have a 98 Chevy Cheyenne 1500 pick up I want to put a break controller on can you tell me which products to get?

Trailer brake controller installation in your 1998 Chevy 1500 C/K Series will be a hard-wire process.
You will need to have a working 4-pole harness in place, such as # 118315, which will plug in under the vehicle on the driver's side. Then you will use Installation Kit # ETBC7 to wire the controller of your choice and to install a 7-way type connector. All parts needed are included in this kit. Both an article and video on this are linked for you.
Finally you will want a controller. I recommend the proportional-type, the Prodigy P2 # 90885 which offers prove reliability and helpful features. If you want the best then go for the P3 # 90195.
