Recommended Bike Rack For Front Mounted Hitch For Increased Visiability

Question:

I purchased from you and installed a Draw-Tite front 2” receiver hitch for my 2001 Ram 2500 diesel truck. I have a 1 1/4” Thule folding rack that I tried to use with a 2” to 1 1/4” adapter. The result is too high and protrudes too far in front of the truck. Which of your racks would be the best application in this situation?

A great style of bike rack for front hitches is the platform style. This will increase visibility when driving. A great bike rack for this is the Thule T2 Classic 2 Bike Platform Rack # TH9045, its is a great fit with your trailer hitch # 65003. Most of all you will not have to use an adapter therefore further increasing your visibility. It will hold your bike using wheel mounts which can accommodate more styles of bikes and alternative frames. This rack also features and anti-rattle device built into the hitch pin so that when tightened will prevent movement while traveling. I've included a video review of this bike rack as well.

You will also want to be sure the bike rack and bikes don't interfere with your headlights when driving at night. Additionally, it is important to keep in mind that the bikes may restrict airflow to the motor.
