Ground Clearance With Curt Hitch on 2015 Ford Fusion Energi
Question:
Hi have a 2015 Ford Fusion, Energi and Im considering the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4 Item # C12091. However, my car rides low and I have a very steep driveway. There are several spots in which my clearance between the bottom of the rear fascia and the concrete is between 4-4.5. Once installed will I lose more of this space? or does removing the fascia make the bottom of the hitch a little higher?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12091 is a confirmed fit for your 2015 Ford Fusion Energi and will be about 1 inch less ground clearance do to the trimming of the underbody panel.
If you will be using this hitch for accessories like a bike rack, then you will need the Curt support strap # 18050.
The Energi models are not rated for towing according to the owners manual.
