Installation of Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System on 2017 GMC Yukon Denali with Autolevel
Question:
I keep seeing mixed instructions on installing to vehicle with autoleveling. I have a 2017 GMC Yukon Denali. I saw a video saying that the autoleveling should be deactivated before setting up the Curt 17500 hitch. Is that correct? Im having trouble finding out how to deactivate the system. If the ignition is in the off position, is the system not off? Should it be off the entire time of the hitch install and alignment? Do you do the initial front and rear bumper height measurements with the auto leveling on or off? Once youve got the hitch installed and the trailer loaded, do you then remeasure your vehicle front and rear heights with the autoleveler system working? It would be a great help if there were just a little more discussion on the proper procedure for people with tow vehicles like mine. I want to be sure I install the Curt 17500 properly. Appreciate your assistance.

The Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # C17500 should be installed when you have your 2017 GMC Yukon Denali turned off. This will ensure you have the proper function and alignment. Then when your autoleveling system activates it will adjust properly for the best function.
Do all of your measuring and adjusting with the system off. Then when the system activates the adjustments needed will be minor and you won't be overworking your system.
