Alternative Ways to Install the Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System Part # FOS43TASF
Question:
I have a Forest River trailer with a backup camera mount for Furrion backup camera. I just purchased a Furrion Observation/Backup camera system from e-trailer. I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 2500, that has a 115V plug and a DC cigarette plug which has my GPS plugged into it. I want to know if I buy a AC/DC Adapter can I plug it into my 115v A.C. plug and plug the Furrion monitor into the AC/DC plug without damaging the monitor or is it better to hardwire monitor into DC circuit.

I suppose you could convert the 115V AC outlet on your vehicle to a 12V DC outlet but this is neither ideal nor recommended. If you did choose to do so you would want to retain the 12V plug that came with the Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System part # FOS43TASF as it has a built-in fuse.
A better option for you would be to run a 12V outlet straight from the battery with part # RM-9332.
