Recommendation For Backup Camera For Kodiak Cub 175BH Camper Trailer Towed By 2018 GMC Canyon
Question:
I recently purchased a Kodiak Cub 175BH camper trailer. I would like to install a backup camera on it. It is pre-wired for a camera. I have a few questions about the different options. 1 how does the camera get its power if it is wireless. 2 If it is not wireless how does the video signal get to the video monitor. 3 I would appreciate recommendations on what is best. I have a 2018 GMC canyon, which already has a backup camera. Thank You in advance.

For a backup camera for your Kodiak Cub 175HB travel trailer being towed by your 2018 GMC Canyon, I recommend the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System, Item # RVS-770613-213. This unit is hardwired so signals are sent through the wires from the camera to the monitor. A nice advantage to this system is once installed pairing and connection will not be an issue.
If you prefer a wireless system that will need pairing, I recommend the Voyager Digital Wireless Observation System, Item # WVOS541.
Either system will need power so you can either connect to your reverse light power for viewing when backing up or you can connect to your running light wire that will allow the camera to stay on "all the time" so to speak.
Both are great systems so which is best for you will depend on your preference for wired or wireless.
I am attaching videos for you to check out.
