Is the Passenger Side Mirror of the K-Source Snap & Zap Part # KS81850 Convex

Question:

Im looking for good snap on tow mirrors for my 2017 Ford F-150 truck. Looking at the K-Source Snap and Zap Custom Towing Mirrors - Snap On - Driver and Passenger Side Item # KS81850 on your etrailer web site. Ive seen customer reviews of similar mirrors describing a problem with the passenger side mirror. The problem I have with these mirrors has to do with the fact that the passenger side mirror is not designed to allow for the focal length of the passenger side. This causes a telescopic effect that greatly reduces the view. Objects in the passenger side mirror dont appear since the distance causes a zoom effect and reduces the angle of view. Does this design flaw exist for the K-Source mirror? Or, does K-Source use the proper focal length for the passenger side mirror? If you need to, please consult the manufacturer before you respond, no guesses. I found a customer review posted in 2016. It seems that in 2016 the passenger mirror did have the wrong focal length problem as with other add-on tow mirrors. Has K-Source resolved the problem since 2016?

The K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors part # KS81850 are a confirmed fit for your 2017 Ford F-150 and will work well for you. The main reason I like these mirror over their competitors is that the glass is replaceable using part # KS81852GLH for the driver and part # KS81851GRH for the passenger side should anything happen.

As far as the "focal length" issue you are referring to goes. All modern passenger and commercial vehicles here in the U.S.A. have a passenger side mirror with a convex face. This type of mirror allows you to see easier on the passenger side of the vehicle which is opposite to where you are sitting due to the zoomed in effect the mirror has. The passenger side K-Source mirror has a flat plane surface and is not convex. This is probably what the reviews are referring to. The mirrors are designed this way to give you a wider field of view and is not a defect. All of the towing mirrors we have for your vehicle encompass the same principal above.

I have attached both a review and install video of the above mirrors for you as well.
