Suspension Enhancement for 2018 Toyota 4Runner to Reduce Towing Sag

Question:

We have a 2018 Toyota 4runner which is rated to tow a 5000 pound trailer with the Toyota towing package. I notice that the trailer tongue does cause the 4runner nose to rise a little. Would a WDH be a good idea??

You'll have to check the owners manual of your 2018 Toyota 4Runner to determine if it is rated for use with a weight distribution system. Or it can be listed on the hitch as well. You'll see two sets of towing capacities most likely there. One as "weight carrying" and one with "weight distribution.

Otherwise you'd want to look into suspension enhancement like the Timbren kit part # TTORSEQ which is a confirmed fit for your vehicle and will give you additional rear suspension support to prevent sag.

If you can use weight distribution the Strait Line system part # RP66082 would be a fantastic option. It has a tongue weight range of 200-600 lbs like you'd need plus has sway control that fights to prevent sway before it starts.
