Carrying a Kayak in 2018 Chevy Colorado With Yakima DryDock and Darby Turbo Rack
Question:
I own a 2018 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab with a 5ft 2inch pick up box. I own two kayaks. One 24 inch wide and the other 28 inch wide. Im interested in the Yakima DryDock or LongArm or Load Assist coupled with a Darby turbo rack single bar. Im confused about the 3 Yakima racks and which one is going to be better for me. Can you assist?

Of the products you mentioned the best option for you to carry your kayaks with your 2018 Chevy Colorado is going to be the Yakima DryDock Load Assist and Support Bar Y02449-3. This is designed to be used with roof racks in order to carry things like kayaks or other gear, while the LongArm # Y01149 simply extends the bed of your truck. It can be used for kayaks but the DryDock is going to offer you greater functionality by leaving your truck's bed free to haul other gear as need be.
The DryDock # Y02449-3 has an upright mast that tilts to help you with loading and unloading, has 4 load stops so your kayaks won't shift, as well as stabilizing straps. It can be locked to your hitch with Yakima hitch lock # Y07235, which I highly recommend so you can protect your investment.
The Darby Turbo-Rack Universal Single-Bar Roof Rack # DTA968 would work well with the Rhino-Rack Pads # RRRWP05 for your kayak. If you needed extra straps there is the Yakima Cinch Straps # Y05006 and Yakima Bow/Stern Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops # Y04031.
I've added links to video reviews of these parts for you to take a look at as well.
