Will the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box Fit Factory Crossbars on 2018 Chrysler Pacifica
Question:
Looking at the Thule Motion XT Large and want to ensure that it will fit with the factor racks? I have a much, much older Thule box which worked without a problem on our Chrysler Town and Country factory racks and the Pacifica looks to have the same bars. Also, Can you estimate how much rack bar space there would be with the Motion XT, if the box was all the way to one side?

I checked with Thule and the Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629706 referenced in your question will mount without issue onto the factory crossbars of your 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. I am not sure of the exact length for the factory bars on your vehicle, but the cargo box itself has an external width of 36 inches. You can take this measurement in from the side rails of the Pacifica to get a good idea of how much crossbar space will still be available with the box mounted.
This is an extremely nice cargo box that will provide you with 16 cubic feet of space. It features a dual-side-opening lid that will let you load and unload your cargo from either side of your vehicle and a SlideLock system that will help deter theft. The PowerClick quick-release clamps allow for an easy installation and its sharp, sleek design will greatly reduce wind noise and drag.
