Locking Hitch Pin for a Dealer Installed 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch on a 2010 Subaru Outback
Question:
I purchased the Deadbolt hitch lock for a 1 1/4 hitch and it was not long enough to accommodate the dealer-installed hitch receiver on my 2010 Subaru Outback. I dont see that Subaru offers a hitch lock for its hitch receiver and I dont want to purchase the Deadbolt lock for the 2 hitch without asking the question: what would work best on the Subaru-installed hitch?

What you will want to do is determine the width of the receiver where the lock will go. You can then compare that to the inside with or usable span dimensions listed on the hitch lock product pages. The Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, # 5200, has an inside width of 3-1/8 inches.
A lock made for a 2 inch receiver will not fit because it has a larger diameter and will not fit in the hitch pin hole on a 1-1/4 inch hitch.
