Hello. Do I need a tranny cooler on a 2018 Tacoma, V6, 4x4 if I do not exceed specified tow limits? Thank you!

A transmission cooler is not required on your 2018 Toyota Tacoma, but it is never a bad idea to add one if you will be doing any towing. It will only benefit your transmission to run at a cooler temperature when it is working to tow a trailer.

For your 2.5L V6, I recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets # D13503. This will work well for your Tacoma and will allow you to use in line with the ATF cooler if you have that option already installed. If you don't have the factory cooler, then I definitely recommend adding a transmission cooler, but it isn't a bad idea to add a second cooler like this if you will be towing regularly or if you will tow larger loads reaching close to your truck's listed capacity from the manufacturer.
