Can the Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC1555 be Used on 225/65/17 Tires for a 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour

Question:

Can you help me make sure these chains will work for me? I drive a 2010 Honda Crosstour AWD and am looking for a pair of tire chains for the snow. However, I have 2 sets of wheels/tires for winter and summer, and they are different sizes. My winter tires are 225/65 17. I know honda recommends specific chains for my car, but Im hoping these will work and not give me problems with clearance or anything. Thanks!

I looked up the tire chains section in the owner's manual for your 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour and found that on page 365 Honda does strongly recommend using specific tire chains from a specific company. That is basically their way of saying that they have tested these chains out and they cannot guarantee that other chains will work. Essentially you will need to look at using Class S chains that are for low clearance situations.

Since they only recommend and don't say "only use these chains" you can use other chains.

The Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC1555 are Class S compatible and are a confirmed fit for a 225/65/17 size tire so we know you can install them and they will fit.

It is always best practice though to check behind your tire to ensure that there is nothing that the chains might damage, like a brake line.

Please also note that Honda says to only install chains on your front tires.
